I matriculated from Brandwag High School whereafter I studied medicine at the University of Pretoria (MBChB 1993). 

 

My community and house doctor service were done at Klerksdorp/Tshepong Hospital complex 1993 – 1995, after which I was in general practice (GP) until 2000.

 

Qualified as General Surgeon at UP in 2005 (Mmed. Surg) followed by Vascular Surgery under the leadership Professor J van Marlé at UP (CVS SA 2007).

 

Practiced vascular surgery at Pretoria Heart Hospital 2007 – 2010 and then moved to Life Wilgers Hospital in Pretoria.

 

Currently practising at the new state of the art Cintocare specialist surgical hospital within Menlyn.

 

My professional interests are all peripheral vascular conditions with special interest in aortic and carotid disease, dialysis access procedures and complicated endovascular interventions.

 

I am a dedicated sport shooter and accomplished motor and motorbike sports and recreational driver/rider and have a great love for mechanical repairs and performance projects.
